Is the Radio app free?

Yes. Live Radio: FM & AM Stations is free to download and every station is free to listen to. It is supported by a small number of clearly labelled banner ads, which are never shown on the player screen.

How many radio stations can I listen to?

More than 64,000+ live stations from 240 countries and territories, updated continuously from the Radio Browser community directory. Dead streams are hidden automatically.

Does the app need my location?

No. The app picks your country from your phone's region setting, so it never asks for location permission. You can switch to any country, or Worldwide, at any time and your choice is remembered.

Can I keep listening with the screen off?

Yes. Radio keeps playing in the background with lock-screen and notification controls, and automatically reconnects if your network drops for a moment.

What is Radio Roulette?

Radio Roulette plays a random, healthy live station from anywhere in the world — or just from a continent you choose. Stations that fail to start are skipped automatically, so you only land on real sound.

Why does a station play in the app but not on this website?

Some broadcasters only stream over plain HTTP or HLS, which many desktop browsers block on secure pages. The app plays those streams natively, so every station works there.

How does this website know my country?

It makes a best guess from your network address (via a public IP-to-country lookup) and your browser's language, then shows your country's most popular stations. Nothing is stored except the country you pick yourself.
